Engaging with our stakeholders 2017-04-05T15:56:26+00:00

We are fully committed to communicating and engaging with our stakeholders and it’s really important to us that we reach as many people as we can with the right information. The information should be factual, interesting, and easy to understand.

We communicate with NHS Dumfries and Galloway staff using the staff intranet, notice boards and face to face at organised information sessions and meetings. In addition we endeavour to respond to queries from individuals or teams, out with information sessions and meetings, as soon as we can.

Many of our staff have been involved in the development and design of the new hospital and will continue to be involved with specific aspects of the plans. We are also working very closely with staff in preparation for new ways of working in the new building.

For our external stakeholders we publish a dedicated new hospital newsletter. The newsletter is distributed in printed copy and electronic version to stakeholders throughout the region.

Each month members of the New Hospital Project Team attend stakeholder group meetings to present an update on the new hospital. This is followed by a question and answer session which is an opportunity for members of the stakeholder group to talk in more detail with the Project Team about the plans for the new hospital.

We have been out and about exhibiting the model of the new hospital and talking to members of the public at local supermarkets, and have participated in events such as the University of West of Scotland health and wellbeing fair and the Scottish Clinical Skills Network Conference.

We have plans for more of these kind of events and you can check out our calendar to find out where and when we are engaging with stakeholders about the new hospital.

News stories and information are issued to local press and media about the new hospital and you can have a look over press releases on this website to catch up on major milestones since the project began.

We are happy to hear from you with ideas or suggestions about what works for you as an individual, or as member of a group.

We would like to hear what you think of this new website as our newest platform for communicating and engaging with our stakeholders.
